New to our shelves this week are three canned concoctions born out of an endless curiosity and obsession with flavor. Lars Williams and Mark Emil Hermansen founded Empirical and began experimenting in 2017 in the hope of creating something unexpected. Hardly surprising for two Noma alumni. But what they’ve made are a series of products using unlikely flavors that provide a whimsical drinking experience. They set out to combine flavors inspired by their own sense memories in order to create something unique, which is exactly what they’ve done.
