Hot for chocolate
As “damp” January ends and February begins, the Market at Wine Press in Brookline and Fenway are rolling out some super-sweet and some super-exclusive opportunities for our customers.
Our Wine, Dine, Valentine Tasting Event is happening at both stores on February 9, 2023 from 6 pm to 8 pm. In addition to some excellent chocolates (more on those below) and fine wines, we’ll be featuring ice cream tastings at both stores.
At Brookline, we’ll be tasting Crème de Liqueur ice cream. These boozy, beautiful desserts come in a wide variety of flavors: Rye Whiskey S’mores, Pistachio Amaretto, and Spirited Raspberry Cheesecake, just to name a few. They’re a special purchase for one spoon or to share around.. It’s worth picking up a bottle of the liquor that goes with the ice cream to complement the whole experience.
At Fenway, one of our favorite local vendors, Jaime from Brothers & Sisters Café in Brookline Village will be scooping some of her favorite flavors for our tasting. Jaime is an absolute gem of a person who is passionate about creating both ice cream and community. She’ll be tasting some of our regular flavors at Fenway like Milk Dunked Chocolate or Cold Brew Chip and also something special from her “vault” of Valentine’s Day-themed flavors. Jamie’s Ice Cream also goes great with some of our favorite spirits poured over, like a Pedro Ximenez sherry or St. George’s Nola Coffee Liqueur. Be sure to stop by and say hi if you’re anywhere near Fenway on February 9th.
In addition to our sweet tastings, the Market is also featuring some brand new chocolate and confections in February. We’ve kept old favorites like Qantu Oh! La Vache and Chocopologie. Some of our new favorites include these elegantly packaged chocolate-covered jellies from Guido Gobino; a fiendishly delicious organic milk chocolate bar called “Latte” by Sabadi; and Markham & Fitz Mocha chocolate. We hope these new products find an everyday place in your life - whether as a once-in-a-while treat or as a regular indulgence.
Finally, Wine Press Market is excited to announce an Olive Oil Tasting Event on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at our Brookline location. In partnership with our friend Tony at Highland Wine, this exclusive, ticketed event will feature pours of their line-up of olive oils pressed in Italy. There will be a guided tasting, information on the process of making olive oil, and a special gift for each person to take home. Space will be highly limited, so look for our announcement of ticket sales soon!
